About the Maine Steiners
The Maine Steiners are the University of Maine's oldest all-male A cappella group. They are a group of young men looking to spread the message of keeping music in your life no matter your career path. The art of performing music is something they truly love doing, and they want everyone from any musical or non-musical background to be able to enjoy it as much as they do.
Since 1958, the Maine Steiners have released multiple albums, participated in many national and international competitions, traveled overseas, hosted high school and middle school music workshops, and earned the acclaim of both critics and fans. Over the course of the group’s long and fruitful existence, they have accrued and perfected a vast and diverse repertoire.

Over the past 64 years, the Maine Steiners have watched the musical world grow and change. Certain staples within their repertoire cling to their barbershop style roots, and others reflect the ever-changing modern style of music. In addition to their more classic pieces, the Maine Steiners arrange multiple modern popular songs and still perform many hits that were popular in the ‘60s, ‘70s, ‘80s, and ‘90s, offering something for every audience member, no matter their age.
